Latino/a Literary Forum: Rudolfo Anaya, Bless Me, Ultima

Read and discuss great books that capture the diverse experience of the Latino community in the U.S. The first of three sessions will cover Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya. The spiritual teachings of Ultima, a curandera (healer), lay out the cultural anchor for young Antonio Márez to navigate the challenges and uncertainties of adulthood in a modern world.

The next meetings will be October 14 with Sonia Sotomayor's, My Beloved World and The Book of Unknown Americans by Cristina Henriquez on November 11.
