June 12, 2017
Beginning on Monday, June 19, I'll be leading a six-part workshop for women interested in taking a deep dive into issues around menopause.
Open to women who want to “write their own script” for their menopause experience, I will guide participants through an exploration of menopause issues and concerns, with the intention that each participant will develop her own unique strategy for managing her changing body and sexual responses and expression. Classes will be a dynamic combination of presented information, group discussions, time for personal reflection and small group interactions. While participants are welcome to sign up for individual sessions, participation in all sessions is recommended to build group cohesion and support.
Topics will include libido/desire, lubrication/dryness concerns, managing partner concerns/expectations, hormone replacement pros and cons, the effectiveness of herbal products, handling irritating symptoms such as night sweats, hot flashes and feeling unattractive, and more.
Our culture tells us much about how we’re “supposed to be” during and after menopause. In this series, we’ll toss out the cultural script and build our own reality as empowered menopausal/post-menopausal women!
Participants are asked to bring a notebook for in-class reflections and journaling between classes.
